Dinner

Breakfast can be difficult in college, so we recommend meals that are easy to prep! Hard boiled eggs, chia pudding, yogurt bowls, and frozen burritos are great because they are easy to take on the go. Remember to start your day off with a protein source, likes eggs or meat, paired with a fruit for some sugar and carbs. If you need a breakfast that can stay in your backpack for a couple of hours, protein bars or breakfast sandwiches wrapped in tinfoil are a great meal that will last for hours on campus.

Lunch can be tricky. Some of our go-to options are sandwiches, salads, and wraps. These are great because they only require a few ingredients that can be bought at the beginning of the week. A loaf of bread or wrap, deli meat, cheeses, and veggies create a satiating and balanced meal. If you're bringing lunch to campus, don't forget to pack your sauce/dressing separately to avoid a soggy meal.

After a long day, nothing is better than a warm meal cooked at home. We recommend meal prep for dinners. This means that after your groceries have been purchased, you cook everything at once to make the week easier. Cook your rice, bake your chicken, and cut all of your veggies to make the week easier. Dinners should be focused on a protein, carb, and vegetable. Need easy-to-cook prep? Ground chicken and beef are super easy to throw into a pan, and potatoes are extremely versatile in how they can be prepared. Using these as a base allows you to get creative! Experiment with different sauces and vegetables to remake different types of cuisine at home.
